Opal and Gold Dragon Necklace
Keep the ocean close on the days you can't get to it.
The rarest piece in the Atlantica range. A blue dragon — Glaucus atlanticus — in yellow gold, set with bello opal that carries a depth photographs never quite hold. The gold warms the blue the way late afternoon sun hits the water, and the result reads as something ancient and alive at once.
At 15mm across, the pendant is intimate rather than loud. It is roughly the size of the animal itself. It does not announce itself from across a room — people notice it once they are already close, and then they ask. The 18-inch chain sits just below the collarbone, where the opal catches the light best.
Gold over a 925 sterling silver base. Shower-safe, swim-safe and sweat-safe; rinse it in fresh water and pat it dry after the ocean.
Designed in Australia by nudibranch enthusiasts. We grew up watching blue dragons scatter across the sand after an onshore wind, and fell for the colours and that strange feathered shape long before we ever thought about making anything. This is our attempt to hand that feeling to somebody else.

Very fast delivery!! Even better than the pics. The colours move in the light for the gold and opal! So pretty.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I just HAD to for this necklace!! It’s honestly even more beautiful in person than in the pictures ^o^ The way the opal lights up in the sun is absolutely incredible!!...

The Creature
There is a creature in the Australian ocean so extraordinary that most people who find one think they are hallucinating. The Glaucus atlanticus floats upside down on the open sea, belly to the sky, hunting prey three hundred times its size.
And there is Australian opal. Born, the legend says, where a rainbow touched the earth. Every stone is a different world of colour, shifting and alive. This pendant holds both.
